Even little things matter

Road closures temporarily interfere with traffic
It is a well-known fact that sometimes it's the little things that make Life oh that much better. Not only major redevelopment, like the re-establishment of the East Village, improve life; take for example the new lights-intersection which is being installed in Inglewood. Since the Inglewood Bridge attracts so much traffic in rush hour - cars, trucks, buses, cyclists, pedestrians and more - a new lights system is underway to improve the Life of residents and passersby.

Users seem to handle well the current construction project
Though currently users of 9th Avenue, SE must deal with some closed lanes and potential detours, the construction project is sure to contribute to a better, safer intersection.
Trying to keep annoyance to a minimum, this city's employee
tries his best to stop working while pedestrians wait for light

More lanes are being closed as construction is still going
The city of Calgary never rests. Just because the CAT's 'backhoe loader' machine is nowhere to be seen, loyal city employees are always busy. Starting today, the 28th, Eastbound traffic on 9th Avenue, between 7 and 8 streets SE will be limited by a closed right lane.
