Deane House Coming to Life

Approximately two years ago a massive renovation project began on one of Calgary's most historic buildings, that is the Deane House.
Mostly famous for its ghost tours and specialty meals, this heritage structure is actually Calgary's oldest building in its original site; it was part of the establishment of Fort Calgary and was moved to its current location in 1914.

The land is also home for the historic Hunt House; it is associated with the work of the Hudson's Bay company and is considered a special manifestation of early architecture in the province of Alberta.

However, we're not here to talk about these structures' past but to celebrate their future! The reason behind this project has been the improvement and protection of two monumental buildings of this city's history; their purpose as restaurant and storage (respectively) will remain intact but some work will be done to elevate the parking lot and garden area.
